Fancy yourself a bit of a poet? Well, dust off your boots & join us for the annual Cargo Cup, part of the Banjo Paterson Australian Poetry Festival on Feb 23 from 5pm at The Cargo Inn.
There will be plenty of bush shenanigans, with Neil Gill playing from 5pm and bush poets Mel & Susie judging the night, with cash prizes of $100 each for Best Performance & Most Entertaining (Character). It’s walk up registration so come prepared with a poem, song, joke or story with a bush flavour that’s under 4 mins and try your luck. Of course we will need a crowd to cheer on the competitors so come on down even if you’re not going to take the stage! Bar & bistro open, call us to book a table.
