Fancy yourself a bit of a poet? Well, dust off your boots and join us for the annual Cargo Cup, part of the Banjo Paterson Australian Poetry Festival this Friday, Feb 14 from 5pm at The Cargo Inn. There will be plenty of bush shenanigans, with Neil Gill playing from 5pm & MC’ing the night. There are Cargo Inn vouchers up for grabs with $100 for Best Performance and $50 for people’s choice. It’s walk up registration so come prepared with a poem, song, joke or story with a bush flavour that’s under 4 mins and try your luck! Of course, we will need a crowd to cheer on the competitors so come on down even if you’re not going to take the stage. You’ll notice it’s Valentine’s Day too so we’re throwing in a free bubbles or beer for entrants and their Valentine!
